When I try to find if a show or movie is available on streaming, I don’t mean “Can I pay extra money to watch it in a 48 hour window?”. I mean, is it included in a subscription I’m already paying for or is on a different services?

Smoke, grease, and odor out of the kitchen

We need to stop calling recirculating fans ‘vents’. A fan above your stove that moves smoke from under your microwave to above your microwave is just a noisy ‘forehead greaser’. If you aren’t venting the heat/humidity, smoke, grease, and odor outside, you’re just moving the problem around!

Solar-powered without solar panels

In Summer, close the blinds and curtains of your southern windows to reflect the heat from the sun back outside. In Winter, open ’em up to let the free heat in. Just keep in mind what the neighbors can see.

Location, location, location

If you work the dayshift, living due west of your place of employment isn’t very bright. Actually, it will be very bright as you stare into the rising sun on your way to work and the setting sun on your way home.

Saving Money

Don’t just save money when times are hard. If you save money year-round, there may be fewer hard times.
